Weather statistics compiled by Brett Allender show the monthly rain was 17 millimetres.
“It was barely half of the long-term average of 30.6mm and the fifth straight year of recording less than 20mm in November,” he said.
It was the first month since June that the college has had below average rain.
Most of the rain came on November 12 when 10.2mm was recorded.
On November 13, 2.8mm was recorded and on November 14, 2.2mm was recorded.
Overall it rained on seven days of the month.
Less than one millimetre was recorded on November 1, November 2, November 22 and November 25.
Mr Allender said the yearly rain was now at 460.2mm.
“This is well above the long-term average to the end of November, which is 385mm, and even the yearly average of 412mm,” he said.
Mr Allender said 2016 was now the wettest year since 2011, when 554.8mm was recorded.
Overall, November was slightly cooler at Longerenong College.
The average maximum temperature was 24.4 degrees, which was slightly below the long term November average of 24.6 degrees.
The hottest day was November 21 when it reach 38.7 degrees.
The second hottest day was November 20, when it reached 36.7 degrees.
The coolest day was November 13 when the mercury only got to 15.8 degrees.
There was five days above 30 degrees and four days less than 20 degrees.
The college received 168.2mm of rain in spring, which was well above average.
It was the wettest spring since 1992.
The long-term average is 112mm.
Mr Allender said this was an incredible contrast to the 32mm recorded in 2015 and 50mm received in 2014. The average spring maximum temperature was 19.7 degrees.
Mr Allender said this was well below average, which was 21 degrees.
He said it was the coolest since spring 1992.
“This is also a huge contrast to the record high of 24.7 degrees set in 2015,” he said.
The average maximum temperature for December is 27.6 degrees.
The average rainfall for the month is 27.1mm.
