That’s it the Saints have won. The Burras will have to play in the preliminary final in order to make the GF and the Saints will watch two team knock each other about to earn the right to face them in the 2016 Wimmera Football League grand final.

4.48pm
Everything is long and direct for the Burras at the moment as things are starting to look dire. There must be only about 5 minutes of actual game time remaining and the minor premiers trail by 18-points.

4.44pm
Matt Coombe kicks a very good from deep in the pocket.
Ben Martin follows up shortly after and it’s getting more and more difficult now for the Burras.

For the Saints its rebounding football that has given them the edge to this point.
The Burras continue to have extended periods in the forward line but once it get over the back the Saints have the run.

Tack on one more for the Saints.
9.4 (58) to 7.8 (50)
4.08pm
Another snap by Young as the Burras have a little bit of breathing space.
Burras 7.8 (50) to the Saints 6.3 (39).
4.06pm
At this stage the Burras main avenue to goal seems to be coming from free-kicks inside the sides forward 50.
Another one makes it at least the fourth by my count as Minyip-Murtoa take the lead again.
Minyip-Murtoa 6.8 (44) lead the Saints 6.3 (39).
4.00pm
I hate to repeat myself but so far in the third quarter it’s all about that last kick into the forward 50.
The Saints have hit a couple of targets and taken a some good contested mark whereas the Burras don’t look as polished despite probably having slightly more of the play/

3.29pm
Burras with plenty of forward 50 entries in the last few minutes but that last kick in has been lacking a bit of polish as the Saints continue to repel the attacks.
A call of deliberate from the umpire results in a Minyip-Murtoa shot deep in the the forward pocket which is converted.

Burras 4.4 (28) to Saints 3.1 (25).
At the moment Minyip-Murtoa is looking the better side through general play with good spread and better ball use. The umpires are having a big say in the match at this point with lots of decisions going both ways.
3.10pm
Over in the netball its a tight contest with Burras holding a slender lead in the first quarter at last glance.
Dark clouds are looming overhead but with any luck they won’t bring much rain. The contest is warming up.
Minyip-Murtoa 4.4 (28) to Horsham Saints 3.1 (19).
2.54pm
Kieran Delahunty goals for the Burras and there can’t be much time left in the quarter. The umpires have been keen to the their whistles in the first quarter as the game is still looking to settle into a rhythm.

And that’s how the first quarter ends.
