The Lions were a realistic chance of an upset before star players BJ Burton and Justin Thomas were late withdrawals.
Bach said a lack of numbers was still no excuse for the way they played in Saturday’s match.
“There are no excuses for not being able to follow simple instructions,” Bach said.
“When everything else was failing we asked the boys to show effort and they didn’t respond.”
Lions recorded just one minor score in the first term while Moyston Willaura piled on 10 unanswered goals.
Bach handed out an old fashion coaches spray at quarter time and again there was no response.
Moyston Willaura continues its onslaught it the second term kicking another 10 goals.
At half time the score line read 20.6 (126) to the Lions 0.1 (1).
The Lions defence tried their best for the full four quarters, but with the ball entering their 50 at a rate of knots they were always up against it.
Luke Notting continued his strong season and he did his best to lead the group.
The Lions kicked two goals to Pumas six in the third quarter.
Pumas took their foot of the gas, allowing Great Western to regain some respect.
The final score was Moyston Willaura 33.10(208) thrashing Great Western 5.4(34).
It wasn't mathematically the Lions worst loss for the year, but Bach was devastated.
“It was an utterly embarrassing day for the Great Western Football Club,” Bach said.
“They showed no heart, no guts, and there was no glory.”
Bach is a proud coach and has coached a number of teams and said this was the worst loss he has been involved in.
“I have to take some responsibility for that performance,” Bach said.
A highlight of the match was Moyston Willaura’s in-form spearhead John Vanderwaal booting his 100th goal for the season.
Vanderwaal needed 23 goals to reach the milestone and did it with two goals to spare as he finished with a remarkable 25 goals in a clear best on ground performance.
