The only trouble is the winning ticket was not registered to a Tatts Card, so Tatts is on standby waiting for the mystery winner to check their ticket to see if it has the winning numbers – 10, 25, 39, 21, 19 and 2, and the all-important Powerball number 6.
The huge $6 million first division prize was purchased from Stawell Lotto, at 105 Main Street.
The outlet is no stranger to selling big winning tickets as it has sold two first division TattsLotto tickets in the last two years.
Tatts spokesperson Claire Taylor said that the newly minted multi-millionaire could be completely unaware that they’ve had a life-changing win overnight.
“Whoever is holding the division one winning Powerball ticket from last night’s draw is sure to get a heart-racing surprise when they realise they’ve won a huge $6 million prize!” Ms Taylor exclaimed.
“We’re encouraging all Powerball players in Stawell to race to check their entries as fast as they can to discover if they’re the multi-million dollar winner we’re waiting for!
“If you believe you are holding the winning Powerball ticket, keep your ticket in a safe place and contact Tatts immediately on 131 868 to begin the process of claiming your prize!
“We can’t wait for the first division winner to ‘and claim their prize so we can get them on the way to living their new Powerball lifestyle.”
Tatts players are encouraged to register their entries to a Tatts Card because not only does it ensure their prize is secure, it also means they can be contacted directly with the news of a division one win.
Throughout Australia, it was the only entry that won first division in Powerball draw 1046 on Thursday 2 June.
