On a day where everything went their way Navarre could have raffled who were their best players with 21 contributors on the day.
Navarre’s joint coach Ash Driscoll kicked a bag of seven but he was shown up by his little brother Cody who kicked 15 majors.
Driscoll said his little brother played well and kicked accurately, but the credit mostly had to go to the midfielders.
“You give credit where credit is due and our midfield was spectacular,” Driscoll said.
“Their ball use was spot on all day. It was easy to be a forward with the way the ball was being delivered.”
Cody Driscoll was named best on ground while Ash wasn't far behind.
The most pleasing thing for Driscoll was that their training is starting to pay off and come to the fore of their game style.
“We really outplayed them in every sense of the word,” Driscoll said.
“We were physical, but across the ground we played well. You couldn't pin point one area that we dominated.”
The Grasshoppers kicked a total of 31 goals, which is something they haven't done in recent games.
“To kick 30 goals is a big achievement,” Driscoll said.
“We don’t set goals we just want to improve each week, but to do that and be so accurate is a good result.”
Other players to rate in the best for Lachie Slorach, Danny Grellet, Daniel Reading, and Rhett Murphy.
Slorach continues to impress with his run and carry on the wings while Grellet has been consistent on a half back flank. Grellet played a smart game and was able to transition Navarre from defence to attack on a number of occasions. Navarre got through the match unscathed by injury.
Navarre currently sit 3-0. Navarre are one of four teams undefeated after three rounds.
