Warriors will need to be on their game this weekend when they take on undefeated and title favourites Minyip Murtoa.
Coach Brad Thomas is looking forward to the challenges that present the Warriors by playing the top team.
“It is a good opportunity for us to play our best football,” Thomas said.
“We are not worried about the score line but we want to play the best teams in the competition. To be the best you have to play the best.”
Thomas said while Minyip Murtoa look a strong team on paper his team could defeat anyone in the league if they are at their best.
The Burras have been comfortable winners in each of their outings this season while Stawell have recorded just one loss against Horsham Demons.
With names such as Clinton Young running around in the blue and white they could be forgiven for relying on their stars but instead have played a strong team game.
Thomas said he wasn't phased by the individual brilliance of the team and said they would have to be accountable for all 22 players.
“They have unbelievable depth,” Thomas said.
“We need to be prepared to play tough on everyone of their players but, we need to stick to our game plan.”
The Stawell Warriors will have some fire power of their own with Cam Kimber and Tom Taurau both coming off excellent games.
The Warriors are hopeful of power forward James Delahunty returning after he was a late withdrawal from last weekends game.
Delahunty was forced to withdraw from the match after he cut his hand on Thursday at work.
While he isn't 100 percent fit he will be in contention if he can get through a fitness test. Solid performances to Jackson Dark and Robert Armstrong in the reserves have seen them also put their hand up.
Jackson Dark looks like the obvious selection to replace Dave Morris who has university commitments.
Warriors will have the advantage of playing in front of their home crowd with the game scheduled to be played at Central Park at 2.20pm.
