Principal Nick Lynch said the group of new teachers were spread across all year levels.
“The school is growing and we also needed some more specialist teachers,” he said.
Mr Lynch said the school shared Chinese language teachers with Stawell West Primary School, Stawell Primary School, Great Western Primary School and Pomonal Primary School.
He said the school had to employ a second Chinese teacher because of the success of the partnership.
Mr Lynch said the new troupe of teachers were a mix of graduates and teachers with more experience.
“It’s a really good balance,” he said.
“It’s a mix of male and female, all with very strong teaching credentials.”
He said the teachers had settled into their new roles well.
“They’ve been really accepted by the kids, the other teachers – it’s really positive,” he said.
Mr Lynch said most of the teachers were from outside region.
“They are all really into living and working in regional Victoria,” he said.
“It’s a real sign of confidence to see people relocating to Stawell.”
