Kicking off at midday, Navarre and Buangor are vying for the B grade Bill Rathgeber Cup. This match is followed by the Henry Gunstone Cup played between A grade teams Buangor and Swifts/Great Western.
Buangor finished on top of the Henry Gunstone Cup Twenty20 ladder and that gave it the opportunity to compete at the Twenty20 Sungold Cup in Warrnambool on Australia Day.
The GCA side relished the challenge, defeating Pigeon Ponds and 2015 winner Portland Colts to reach the grand final. Buangor faced Port Fairy in the $15,000 decider and ultimately went down, but not without a fight.
