Joiner was declared the winner by technical knock out two minutes into the second round.
Taking on striker Shaun Jeffries, Joiner admitted he got touched up in the first round and had it have gone the distance, Joiner said the result would have been different.
Joiner said his fear and nerves left him before he entered the cage but there was something different about his second fight.
“I learnt a lot of lessons from this fight,” Joiner said.
“Most people have to lose to learn, I was very lucky to get out of it with a win.”
After Jeffries took the honours in the first round Joiner was ordered to take it to the ground where he reaped the reward.
“Rodolfo won me that fight,” Joiner said.
“My pride told me to work my way back into it on my feet, but he was too good. I just had to do what I was told and trust my versatility.”
Minus a few superficial cuts and bruises Joiner is in good shape and will enjoy a two month break before preparing to fight again in April.
