Northern Grampians Shire Council is promoting the nationwide event which will see more than 10,000 garage sales held across the country on Saturday October 24.
Show committee president, Geoff Erwin, said both events falling on the same day presented a great opportunity for the school and the show to partner up.
“We’re really looking forward to it. We think it will provide something new and exciting for show patrons this year,” Mr Erwin said.
Stawell Primary School principal, Robyn Jones, said the sale provided a great opportunity for the school to sell some of its equipment and to teach the students about fundraising.
“The children are donating an item each to the school to sell on the day and the money raised will be used to buy new furniture for our classrooms,” Mrs Jones said.
The stall will include books, toys and bric-a-brac, as well as some old furniture from the school.
