In late July the WAMA Board and Project Teams are planning to submit an application to the Federal Government for a major development grant.
This application requires the entire WAMA project be tabled in elaborate, auditable detail, everything from permits, surveys, building and landscape designs, to costings, partnerships and the ongoing business plan.
Thousands of hours work has gone into this project so far and a team of well in excess of fifty highly qualified individuals and professional groups have much of this in hand.
However, there is one element the WAMA group would like to appeal to everyone in the Grampians Region to help them with.
WAMA needs to be able to clearly demonstrate public support for the organisation and residents of the district can help by simply visitinghttp://www.wama.net.au/form358305/interest.html and "Registering Support".
It is free and little more than a petition, but will become a valuable tool in the application. WAMA needs to prove they are not the only ones who want to see this great concept become reality.
Residents are asked to register and then alert all their friends who might be interested.
If you use Facebook, WAMA has page at https://www.facebook.com/pages/WAMA-Wildlife-Art-Museum-of-Australia/619733394809131?ref=hl and by "Liking" it, you will help WAMA further demonstrate that there is strong public interest in the project.
