The committee was forced to cap the number of teams able to register in this increasingly popular event this year with positions filling earlier than anticipated and registrations closing in March. Enquiries are being taken already for next year from entrants who missed out on registering for this year's event.
A record number of 46 teams and more than 300 individuals have registered. Of these, 155 participants are excited first time entrants keen to experience for themselves the thrills offered by Serra Terror.
This year the course will again give participants an opportunity to experience some of the best scenic views the Grampians National Park has to offer.
Serra Terror 2015 entrants will experience a number of one-offs with a section of the Grampians Peaks Trail and areas of the Grampians National Park not usually accessible to the public included in the two day course.
Organisers are excited that the course will start and finish at the newly opened Dunkeld Community Centre which will also be the venue for the wind-up celebration at the completion of Serra Terror on Sunday evening.
Given that the Serra Terror fundraising over the past five years has made a significant contribution to the building of the new centre, it seems appropriate that the weekend's functions can now centre around this iconic community centre.
A further $80,000 worth of capital works are still to be completed at the Community Centre as well as equipment purchases and ongoing maintenance costs.
