In recent years Warriors and Nhill have had some hard hitting, intense battles and tomorrow when they meet at Central Park will be no different.
Stawell will be expecting to take the four points from a so far winless Tigers, but on paper Stawell's form isn't a whole lot better.
While Stawell has been playing some good football and has been competitive with the league's best they have failed to convert on their opportunities.
Stand-in coach Brad Thomas hasn't looked into his opposition too much, but is expecting nothing less than a win.
"We would like to get a good win on the board," Thomas said.
"We have been playing good football, but we haven't taken the points. We can't complain each player is putting in the effort that is required."
For Warriors there is plenty of talk and hype ahead of the Nhill clash, but Thomas is focusing on what they are there to do.
"Warriors will be without three key players this week.
Todd Matthews in unavailable with work committments, Todd Cleary will miss with a broken wrist and Aidan Potter in also unavailable.
In their absence it is expected several junior players will get their second chance in the senior line up as will some reserves players.
Kobey Stewart and Ben Taylor are expected to return after a good run with the juniors and Liam Scott and Nathan Sabbo may also be recalled to the senior team.
"They have all gone back and worked on a couple of things and are probably more ready for seniors this time around," Thomas said.
Thomas is happy with where the team is at following its break for interleague.
The team has been forced into some changes, but giving the juniors a crack a senior football is a huge plus.
"This is a situation Stawell haven't been in for a while," Thomas said.
"Players in the past have just walked into their spots where now they are earning their spot."
Robbie Armstrong has also put his hand up for senior selection and a possible senior debut.
"These players give effort week in and week out and they should be rewarded," Thomas said.
