The special fundraising event aims to bring together the fun of knitting garments with raising money for the aged care facility.
Organisers are appealing for volunteers to donate time to help put garments on display on Thursday, July 9.
The Winter Woollies Festival is to be held over the weekend of July 10-12 at the Powerhouse building in Sloane Street.
It is an opportunity for residents to collect their winter woollies to keep them cosy for winter, with stalls being set up to sell woollen items.
There will be plenty of crafts, entertainment, demonstrations of knitting, crocheting, spinning, weaving, carding and felting.
The event will coincide with the 17th annual Grampians Model Railroaders Exhibition, which will be taking place across the road at the Stawell SES Drill Hall.
Times for the event are 4pm to 6pm Friday, 10am to 5pm Saturday and 10am to 4pm Sunday. Entry is just $1 per item and entries close on June 19.
Residents are invited to create hats, gloves, mittens, scarves, leggings and socks for the festival. Group entries are welcome.
Entry forms for the festival are available now at the Stawell Library, Newtons Butchers, Stawell Craft Shop and the Bookworm Gallery.
