While a slow start set the precedent for the rest of the day, Swifts fought to the finish, but after half time a comeback never looked likely.
Coach Paul Hanns and his playing group were clearly disappointed to lose by another big margin.
"Our slow start had let us down again," Hanns said.
"We were 10 or so goals down at quarter time and about the same at half time. We were always going to struggle to win the game from there, but to our credit we were able to match them after half time."
One positive for Swifts was that three more players made their senior debut and each showed good signs of their senior football capabilities.
"Sam Raeck in for his first game of seniors showed everyone his aggression on the ball wasn't about to change because it was senior footy," Hanns said.
"Corey Prydderch did plenty of good things when he was given the opportunity and Jordy Ralph's leadership was fantastic in his first senior hit out."
Hanns was also happy with the performance of Nick Raeck in just his second senior game.
"I was very impressed with Nick Raeck at centre half forward," Hanns said.
"He presented well alongside his little brother Sam."
Sean Mantell made a steady return to football after his medial strain six weeks ago.
While Swifts had only planned on using him in the forward line he indicated he was okay at half time to push up the ground.
"He felt good and was moved on ball and was a big part of us turning things around," Hanns said.
Other changes in the second half included Ryan Folkes going into a tagging role and Damien Joiner playing in the forward line.
Joiner kicked two goals, but to ensure they didn't have a repeat of the first quarter it wasn't long before he moved to a loose man in defence.
Swifts slowed the scoring rate down of Harrow Balmoral, but failed to decrease the margin.
"Our boys worked hard at the stoppages and around the ground," Hanns said.
"We need to have more awareness and talk to each other. Several times Harrow built a wall off the stoppage and were able to rebound the ball into their forward line."
As the rain came down the physicality of the match increased and the senior Swifts players stood up.
Scott Carey was best on ground followed closely by Nick Pickering, Jakob Davis and Joiner.
Adam Leslie played his best game for the club earning fourth best.
"There were no injuries from the match although I think there will be a lot of sore bodies," Hanns said.
The final score was Swifts 5.6.36 defeated by Harrow Balmoral 16.13.109.
