The invited guests included Ned Jenkins representing the Grampians Bowls District and Barry Werry, president of Stawell Bowls Club.
Bob Power teamed up with Dulcie Molan and Les Montgomery to claim the winner's prize, with Brian Hurley, Blackman and Eleanor Reid taking home the runners up prize.
It was a real president's day with both the men's and ladies presidents taking home prizes.
Presentation evening was held at the club at the conclusion of the bowls and Grampians Bowls delegate Ned Jenkins presented the winning plaques to Stawell Golf division two manager John McIlvride and division one manager Andrew Reading.
Jenkins congratulated the club on their achievement, winning both division one and two Saturday pennant finals and along with Golf Pink winning the midweek final, making this the most successful season since 1986.
Ned Jenkins was kept busy making presentations, Dave Kaczynski won the Grampians Bowls District state singles and in the short time he has been playing, Kaczynski is living up to the family pedigree.
Bryan Adamson was crowned club champion and was also the winner of the 100 up title.
Past club champion Bruce Blenheim teamed up with Peter Greenberger to win the pairs.
Peter Greenberger rounded off a successful return to Golf by winning the minor singles.
Joy Seeary was crowned ladies club champion and Lesley Habben runner up.
Betty Howden was the winner of the ladies minor singles, Gwen Power was runner up.
Ladies pairs winners were Dawn Blackman and Ruth Hatton with Barb Hurley and Betty Howden runners up.
Barb Hurley was the winner of the 100 up, defeating her pairs partner Betty Howden in the final.
Club champion Joy Seeary added another title, outlasting new bowler Dianne Raeburn in the final of the 21 up.
Lesley Dobson teamed up with Pam Byron to win the drawn pairs and Lesley Habben, Ruth Hatton and Marg Duxson won the drawn triples.
Ned Jenkins outlined his vision for future final venues for both division one and two, with Ararat and Stawell both having two greens, both finals should be played at the same venue and alternate between venues on an annual basis.
As with this year's grand final, spectators were well catered for and were able to watch both games at the one venue.
This idea had the full support of all in attendance and no doubt would have the support of his home club, but whether the other delegates support such a move is the big question.
This weekend the club will be represented by Greg Reading, Andrew Reading, Iain Maclean and Bob Power in the Waverly Cup.
The event will be held at Cohuna and is open to all Bowls/Golf Clubs in Victoria. After winning the trophy two years ago and narrowly missing out last year, the team is confident of another good showing this year.
The club's next major event will be Anzac Day Mixed Triples on Saturday, April 25.
This event is sponsored by Ararat Telstra Shop. Entry form on the board or contact Bob Power with your entry 5358 1468.
