The Good Friday Appeal will get underway at around 9am, when trucks and volunteers will leave the Stawell Fire Station in Byrne Street.
They will cover the streets of Stawell, Lake Fyans, Halls Gap and the Callawadda Stawell Gun Club, collecting for the appeal.
Children are again being asked to help with the collection and need to be at the Stawell Fire Station to register at 8.30am.
With support from the Stawell Football and Netball Club, the brigade will be out in force collecting donations from residents.
Appeal coordinator Reg Smith said more than $33,000 was raised last year for the Good Friday Appeal and he hoped a similar amount could be raised this year.
"The brigade always welcomes the generosity of the Stawell and district community and I am sure this will continue on Good Friday," Mr Smith said.
"When people hear and see the fire trucks in their street and the volunteers shaking their tins, I hope people will get behind us and give generously to this most worthy cause."
The Stawell Fire Brigade is the authorised collecting agency for the Royal Children's Hospital Good Friday Appeal.
As well as the collection, donations can also be phoned in on 5358 1829 or dropped into the Stawell Fire Station from 9am on Good Friday.
