STAWELL interchurch netballers put on a good performance in their grand finals, but it was Mystics and Firebirds who finished this season's champions.

Vixens started strongly in the sub junior grand final against Mystics, having 11 shots to Mystics three, with Kathryn Boag shooting all her team's goals.
In the second quarter, Madi Jardine was swapped on to Boag and kept her to only two shots, while Mystics settled down to outscore their opponents 5-2.
Mystics goalies, Phoebe Bretherton and Madi Taylor started getting into the game and the difference between the two teams was one goal at half time, with Vixens holding strong.
Mystics stretched the lead out to four goals to be eventual winners of grand final 18 to 14.
Mystics Madi Taylor played a fantastic game in goal attack with many intercepts down the court and was awarded best on court for her efforts.
Goal scorers were Madi Taylor eight and Phoebe Bretherton 10 for Mystics, while for Vixens scorers were Kathryn Boag 13 and Laura Hyslop one.
In the Juniors it was another close match with the winner being decided in the last few minutes of the final quarter.
Firebirds started off firing and had six goals on the board before Thunderbirds had even scored.
It didn't take Thunderbirds too long to settle and at quarter time it was 7-4.
The second quarter saw Thunderbirds hit top form and fought their way into the game. Their goalies Taneya Burke and Kasey Mornane put six goals on the board to Firebirds three and at half time the scores were level.
Defensive ends of both teams, Bonnie McIllvride and Chantelle Barber from Thunderbirds and Drew Smith and Kate Martin from Firebirds were working overtime keeping the goalies from scoring.
The last quarter saw the score to and fro, but Thunderbirds found something and broke out to a four goal lead with only a few minutes to go.
Firebird's Tarnee Orr made a few timely intercepts in the centre position for Firebirds and they replied with two quick goals.
They then broke the Thunderbirds centre to goal and before they scored from their own centre to level the scores.
The game looked like going into overtime but Firebirds goalies Dakota Cosson and Gab McGuckian threw three quick goals between them to be in front at the final siren to find themselves Premiership winners.
Final score was Firebirds 22 defeating Thunderbirds 19.
Goal scorers for both teams Dakota Cosson 10, Gab McGuckian 12, Kasey Mornane 10 and Taneya Burke nine.
Firebird's Drew Smith was awarded best on court for her defensive work and intercepts down the court.
Stawell Interchurch Netball Association's next competition will be the winter competition which will commence in May.
