Anyon passed away in 2009 and since then the Stawell club has honoured Stan with a race named after him.
Anyon spent most of his life involved in harness racing in some capacity, either as a trainer and driver of horses around the Wimmera and at the Melbourne Showgrounds back when taking a horse to the showgrounds was a big thing for a trainer.
Anyon also served on the committee at Stawell since its inception in the 1950s and also served as track curator for many years.
This year's race has extra stake money donated by Trackside Bar and Bistro and a trophy to the winning connections.
The race is for C0 only four year old pacers and above without a lifetime win.
The Anyon family will be on hand to present the trophy Monday afternoon.
The day will feature local band Soft playing during the day and a free barbecue on offer throughout the day cooked by the Stawell Lions Club.
Children will be well looked after with free entertainment including face painting, go-karts and much more.
The bistro will be open for meals during the day, however bookings are recommended by contacting the club.
A heat of the Tontine Series will also be run with a $30,000 final being run at Ballarat on February 13.
A great day of harness racing action is assured this Australia Day and entry is free.
Stawell Harness Club enthusiast look forward to the Stawell community turning out on the day and making this a regular date on their racing calendar.
