Peter Mulcahy has stepped forward to take up the challenge and will sit second on the ballot paper, below The Nationals candidate Scott Turner.
Mr Mulcahy grew up on a family farm at Streatham and now farms alongside his wife and four children.
He is an active member of the Country Fire Authority, church, Australian Family Association and Football and Netball Club
"We are a party with sound policies and I am ready to represent you first and foremost with the best quality outcomes," he said.
The Rise Up Australia Party has strong Judeo Christian values which Mr Mulcahy believes helped to shape Australia's constitution and laws.
"I am interested to see farmers, small businesses and manufacturing grow and stay competitive while creating new jobs," he said.
"I also want to see more resources to improve our roads and bridges and making education and health services high priorities. Also reducing foreign ownership of our farmland and other important assets."
Mr Mulcahy heaped praise on Ripon communities including Ararat where the redeveloped Alexandra Oval Community Centre was officially unveiled last week.
"It is important now for the Outdoor Olympic Swimming Pool to be reopened and the Ararat community has my support for this community project," he said.
Mr Mulcahy said if successful on November 29 he looks forward to representing the people of Ripon and sharing their concerns and aspirations for a strong and prosperous future.
