Weather: Partly cloudy. Isolated showers from the late morning. Winds westerly 20 to 30 km/h increasing to 30 to 40 km/h in the morning then turning northwesterly 25 to 35 km/h in the late afternoon. Overnight temperatures falling to around 7 with daytime temperatures reaching around 15.

A strong cold front over southwestern Victoria this morning will reach central areas of the State in the afternoon and the northeast by the evening.

Council has adopted a new policy that exempts charities from paying waste and recycling fees. The policy was developed after a number of inadequacies or shortfalls were discovered in council's existing Waste Exemption Policy.
