Organisers of the centenary celebrations, Trevor Skurrie, Chris Folkes, Robert Carey and Ian O'Donnell were calling on anyone who had any information to come forward to help with the cause, then along came Terry Jenkins.

Jenkins, a life member of the Swifts Football Netball Club, didn't realise the significance of the little treasure he had been holding onto for decades.

A small sterling silver medal about the size of a fifty cent piece with 'Swifts F.C Prem.1914' engraved in the back of it, meant everything to Skurrie and his fellow organisers.

Terry Jenkins is pictured with his great uncle William Jones' premierships medal from the 1914 Swifts final.
