With a reputation for utterly captivating live shows and a string of albums already behind her, Liz Stringer has established herself as one of Melbourne's most exciting and talented musicians.
Now, she is bringing that talent to Stawell. Liz will perform live at the Diamond House Heritage Restaurant and Motor Inn on Saturday, June 7.
Her powerful and emotive live performances and melodically rich, story-based songs have earned her a place among Australia's most respected songwriters and performers.
Stringer combines intimate, complex narratives with haunting vocals to create unique contemporary roots music.
Her last studio album 'Warm in the Darkness' was met with wide acclaim upon its release in August 2012 and was short-listed for the prestigious Australian Music Prize 2013.
A passionate advocate of independent music, Liz released 'Warm In The Darkness' and her earlier recordings as a firm independent.
2014 has already been a big year for the singer, Liz taking her first trip to the USA for Folk Alliance International as well as a string of festivals back home including Byron Bay Blues Fest with power trio Dyson Stringer Cloher.
In recent years, Liz has toured nationally with the likes of Eric Bibb, Mia Dyson, Ember Swift and Ash Grunwald, delighting audiences and festival goers around the country here and abroad.
