Coach Daniel Parkin had a clear message during the week that he wanted 20 shepherds, no 50 metre penalties and to play the game of football rather than umpiring it.
In the previous week's game against Talbot, Navarre were sucked in to giving away too many free kicks, resulting in the game being closer than expected.
"The game against Talbot left a really bad taste in my mouth," Parkin said.
"This week was just about getting back to what we usually do and play like."
For the first 15 minutes of the game Navarre were in control of the play.
Cody Driscoll was big for the Grasshoppers in the forward line while Brent Flood had plenty of work to do with the bigger bodies down back.
It was an impressive first quarter for Navarre, but Parkin didn't feel like they had utilised the amount of the ball they had.
"It was probably 50-50 in terms of winners around the ground," Parkin said.
"We were often losing the ball in our forward line and I'm not sure if it was the mids (midfielders) or our forwards not leading."
In the second term Navarre rectified their turnover issues and improved their scoreline by seven goals.
At half time Navarre were leading 13.3.81 to Campbells Creek 6.6.42.
In the second half when the result was in the bag Navarre continued to kick away and the Campbells Creek team quickly fell away.
"I was really happy with our intensity in the second half," Parkin said.
"It would have been easy for the boys just to fall away looking at the scoreboard, but they continued to press."
After setting his three goals and the threat of sprinting penalties, Navarre racked up a total of 27 shepherds and gave away just one 50 metre penalty.
"It was just about helping your teammates out," Parkin said.
"Rather than get a handball go over and shepherd."
Lachie Slorach set the ball rolling for Navarre as did Josh Driscoll with his physical presence.
Brent Flood was again best on ground despite Ash Driscoll and Kris Brennan kicking seven and six goals respectively.
"It was pleasing to have 22 players perform, unlike last week when we had maybe six," Parkin said.
The final score was Navarre 27.10.172 to Campbells Creek 10.7.67.
