Stawell Interchurch netball action has finished for another summer, with a nailbiting finish in the open division.
Unfortunately Lethal Ladies were forced to start with only six players on the court due to injuries and this played a big part in their loss especially by the fourth quarter.
For the first half of the match, it was Lethal Ladies that looked the more impressive as they went into the main break leading by four goals.
In the second half the missing players took its toll on the Lethal Ladies and the drop in intensity became evident, seeing scores level at three quarter time.
Towards the end of the fourth quarter the Lethal Ladies were beginning to tire, seeing the Twilighters triumphant by two goals, 33 to 31.
Best on court in the grand final was awarded by the umpires to Jade Cross from Lethal Ladies.
In the under 16 final Swifts jumped out to an early lead that Vixens couldn't peg back.
Swifts had a five goal buffer at the first break and it remained that way throughout the final three periods.
Tarnee Orr from the Swifts was awarded the best on court in the grand final for her run and drive through the mid court.
Under 12s also finished off their season with a number of games and before each player received a bag of lollies and a drink.
A big thank you to Tanya and Adrian Seeary at the Highway Milkbar for the donation of the lolly bags.
