In a stableford event sponsored by the Town Hall Hotel, Max Waters finished his round with 44 points seeing him the winner of the event.
Leighton Dunn also had a strong round falling just one point short to be the runner up with 43 points.
In the B grade section Ron Bailey was victorious with 40 points in a countback with Frank Kupers while the C grade winner was Peter Sharp on 37 points ahead of Dean Kuiti on 35 points.
The highlights of the day were eagles recorded by Max Waters on the eighth hole and Gary Laidlaw on the tenth.
In the ladies event it was Lyn Willcock victorious with her 39 points and Eunice Ball runner up with 36 points.
Nearest the pin winners were Des Pickford on the Deep Core Drilling sixth hole, Greg Earle Money hole ninth, Graham Healey on the Hi Way 8 Motel 13th hole and Jo Orr on the 17th hole sponsored by David Hunter Landscape Gardening.
Second shot awards went to Matthew Skinner on the third Stawell Hydraulics hole and Leighton Dunn on the 18th.
Chicken run results saw Brian Iseppi the A grade winner with 21 points with Ian Stewart runner up and Wes Nalder was the winner of B grade with 19 points, while Rob Blachford was runner up on 17 points.
This weekend sees the Fabulous Feb weekend commence tomorrow and go through until Sunday.
The event is a three person any combination Texas Ambrose.
