The family of five from Deer Park, west of Melbourne ventured to McKenzie Falls, Brambuk and enjoyed some bush walking during their stay at Parkgate Resort.
With the run of cool days earlier in the month the Grimas believe they were justified in their decision to choose the inland destination over the coast.
Grampians Adventure Golf has again proven to be a popular activity for people of all ages these holidays.
Owner Monique Cummings said the attraction has again been really busy this summer.
"If it isn't too hot or to wet it will start to get really busy by lunchtime, but sometimes even then we've had groups who once they get into a frame of mind, they are just having so much fun they don't care," she said.
Mrs Cummings said she expected good results from the summer season before the onset of the heatwave and fire restrictions and warnings which have the potential to scare some people away.
