Just four rounds, including tonight's round, remain before the finals series.
Although they have the bye in tonight's round Frewstal will be looking to make a bid to grab a finals spot in the final three rounds of the home and away season.
With the Frewstal combinations not hitting the courts tonight, Farrers Tyrepower and David O Jones Mitre 10, who presently occupy the third and fourth spots will be under a little pressure in tonight's matches.
Farrer's Tyrepower are set to take on the second team Crowe Horwath, while Mitre 10 will be up against the competition leaders Stawell Toyota.
Consistency has been a huge problem for Farrers Tyrepower this season and if they are to match it with Crowe Horwath tonight and pencil themselves in for a finals spot they will be looking to improve in this area.
Crowe Horwath have suffered just two losses this season, both of them to Stawell Toyota and they won't be giving an inch against the Farrers Tyrepower combinations.
The Crowe Horwath men led by Howard Dunn, Ben Stockdale, Bob Freeland and Rod Summers, with support from the ladies leaders Deb Hart, Jess Hogg, Narelle O'Shannessy and Kelly Cosson, will be keen to make amends for the loss to Stawell Toyota in the round prior to the Christmas break.
This means Shane and Matt Freeland, Glen Troeth, Kim Hutton, Chelsea Maddocks and Babette Stewart and their Farrer's Tyrepower team mates will need to be at their best to upset Crowe Horwath tonight.
David O Jones Mitre 10 is another that has had an up and down season to date, but they do go into tonight's clash having already toppled the top team Stawell Toyota on one occasion this season.
A repeat of this outcome tonight would go a long way in strengthening Mitre 10's hopes of a finals spot.
Mitre 10 leaders Joel Freeland and Claire Hodgetts will need to be at their best, if they are to lead their team to another upset result result over Stawell Toyota, led by Ben Leslie and Jaiden Bach.
At the other end of the ladder Raunchy Rooster and Cassidy Painting clash tonight in what could be the match to decide which team takes the competition wooden spoon.
Tonight's matches:
Stawell Toyota v Mitre 10
Farrer's Tyrepower v Crowe Horwath
Cassidy Painting v Raunchy Rooster
