PETstock and Adoptable held a special Pet Santa Photo Day. For as little as a gold coin donation pets and their owners were able have their portrait snapped with Santa and his little helpers.
The money went towards the efforts of Ashleigh Dark and Lynley Hoiles and other volunteers and foster carers that are associated with Adoptable.
Ms Dark said it was a great success with pets and their owners getting into the Christmas spirit.
"It was unreal. We had about 70 odd people come and get their animal's photo taken and heaps of them had multiple dogs," she said.
"So I'd say roughly 100 dogs came through and that is an awesome turn out."
It wasn't all dogs and cats in Santa gear with one keen owner bringing along their pet snake.
Adoptable was formed after Ashleigh and Lynley got sick of animals not getting enough of an opportunity for a second chance at life after being surrendered, unwanted or lost.
The group operates in conjunction with the Victorian Dog Rescue and Resource Group - a not for profit organisation whose purpose is to decrease the number of dogs killed in Victorian pounds each year.
Visitors also took the time to hear more about what Lynley and Ash do and how they could help.
