Stawell's University of the Third Age has bid farewell to one of its longest serving course coordinators.
Cordelia Breen was the group's course coordinator for more than eight years. She led the German class and controlled many other programs.
University of the Third Age members expressed their sadness at her departure but wished her all the best on her relocation to Canberra at a special farewell presentation.
Mrs Breen was awarded a bag of goodies and thanked for her service to the learning organisation which is targeted at the over 55 year age group.
The aim of U3A is to keep the mind active and to improve a person's whole quality of life. U3A members organise their own activities by drawing on the skills of one another.
Like minded members from all walks of life are encouraged to form study groups and share their knowledge with fellow members, all on a voluntary basis.
