Stawell and Ararat VICSES volunteers supported the Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria to rescue a rock climber that fell and was injured on a cliff on January 8.

The incident occurred near the Asses Ears Road in the Zumsteins area of the Grampians National Park and calls for assistance were raised at about 5pm.
A SES spokesperson said they were very grateful to VICSES well-trained high-angle rescue volunteers who undertook the rescue.
"VICSES would like to thank Natimuk CFA and Hamilton CFA high angle rescue volunteers who also supported this rescue response," they said.
"Thank you also to FRV Ballarat City for providing support."
