In front of a healthy crowd, the six-year-old mare finished 0.1 lengths ahead of the Henry Dwyer-trained The Siscos Kid in second, which led the Robert hickmott-trained Our August Rose in third.
MORE NEWS:
The Cup wasn't the only win for Bobbin, with Mount Madeira taking out the previous race by 0.1 lengths over the Simon Morrish-trained Shadow Prey.
As well as Bobbin, local trainer Rachel Samsonenko also had success at the meet, with her horse Jarrah Miss winning the Grampians Racing 1600m maiden plate.
Speaking to The Wimmera Mail-Times Samsonenko of the Stawell Racing club said "it was a good day" for everyone involved, with the initial forecast rain not arriving.
"There was no rain it was just cloudy. It was beautiful actually," Samsonenko said.
While Samsonenko hadn't yet had a chance to look at gate-takings for the meet, she believed the rising spread of COVID-19 had resulted in a smaller crowd.
MORE NEWS:
"There was enough people for it to be a good day," she said.
"(Although) I think this COVID stuff is really stopping people from coming because we had 800 people there last year which was the biggest number they've had for that meeting, but I reckon we only would've had 500 this year."
