New Collingwood president Jeff Browne says he will call upon Eddie McGuire's assistance at times but insists the AFL club will be a "very different" one under his watch.

Browne's drawn-out takeover process was completed last week when his ticket was elected to the board, and his presidency confirmed in a unanimous vote on Friday.
Browne is the Magpies' fourth president in a year, following a tumultuous period on and off the field for the competition's most famous club.
McGuire's 22-year reign came to an abrupt end in February after backlash to his comments about the "Do Better" report into systemic racism at the club.
McGuire's close friendship with Browne has led to suggestions he could maintain a strong influence at Collingwood.
"It's not Eddie McGuire part two, it was never going to be Eddie McGuire part two, no one wants or expects that, least of all Eddie," Browne told Melbourne radio station 3AW of his presidency.
"I'm my own person, Eddie knows that as well as anybody, and we have other very talented people who have been elected to the board in Barry Carp and Renee Roberts, together with Christine Holgate returning.
"Paul Licuria and Jodie Sizer (are) staying on and Mark (Korda) is staying on for the remainder of next year as a director.
"We've got a powerful board, but it's significantly refreshed and it'll be a very different Collingwood next year."
Despite relinquishing his post at the club, McGuire remains a passionate Collingwood supporter.
"I think Eddie had an amazing period as president of the club and achieved great things for the club and the testament to that is the sound financial position the club now finds itself in," Browne said.
"After a difficult year last year, Eddie has moved on from the presidency, but he loves the club, and I know that Eddie will do whatever he was called upon to do to assist us as we go forward.
"I intend to call upon that assistance as and when need be."
Browne is aiming to boost Collingwood's membership to 100,000 but has several pressing matters to address, not least the ongoing uncertainty surrounding star forward Jordan De Goey.
De Goey remains stood down by the Magpies as he faces assault charges in the United States, with another court date in New York set for next month.
