A further 13 COVID positive cases were added to the Northern Grampians tally on Thursday, as COVID cases grow in the region.
The 13 new cases in the last 24 hours in the Northern Grampians, brings the total number of active cases to 24 in the region.
Across the Wimmera, there was a total increase of 26 new cases.
A number of cases in Stawell are associated with educational and child care facilities.
The Stawell 502 Primary School has reduced their number of staff and students at school due to a number of COVID cases and the need for people to be tested.
In a statement released by the school, principal Robyn Jones said the school was managing the situation.
"We are certainly experiencing some challenging circumstances for our school," she said in the statement.
"No doubt you are feeling anxious, but please be assured that the health authorities are monitoring us very closely, ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of our school community.
"The number of positive cases has increased overnight with probably more to come.
"Please continue to ring the school with your result- all positive results must be sent to our Emergency Management unit and we must record all negative results for students to return to school.
"We now only have Preps and Grade Two students at school with some Grade 1's to return today.
"Our staff numbers are also very low.
"Grade Three and Grade Four students are to be tested today."
This comes as Victorian COVID cases remain at more than 1000 cases state-wide.
