Under a new structure of executive committee the former Grampians Bowls Division now sits under the Wimmera Bowls Region with a sub committee to assist each division in organising a competition.
Wimmera Region president Andrew Reading said slowly, people were getting settled into the new structure of bowls in the region.
"It's looking good," he said.
"Not many people would know that's happened. We've had a bit of fun organising everything.

"The structure is in place in the hope to eliminate the need for an executive committee as each division needed to have its own secretary, president etc.
"Now they have a match committee or coordinating group. It saves finding about 15-20 people to fill the jobs. It's saving to find volunteers.
"The last few weeks it's all started to fall into place and now we can play pennant it will make things a lot easier.
"It will make region-wide events running a bit easier. It takes the pressure off some of the volunteers in the bowling regions - there's a fair bit of work wrapped up in it but we'll survive."
Mr Reading said within the Grampians group there had been a large interest from clubs for both the Saturday and midweek competitions heading into the new season.
MORE NEWS:
"There will still be eight teams in division one on Saturday, the same we had last year and I think we've only got six teams in midweek bowls and there are similar teams to last year, eight or nine, in division two for Saturday," he said.
"Everyone is looking forward to getting back to bowling. They've had enough of COVID and are eager to get down and play some bowls.
"COVID has been a problem but we now can play competitive bowls and move on."
Mr Reading said despite social bowls being able to play, players were looking forward to playing competitive bowls.
"It will be nice to see that human interaction back again," he said.
"There's a lot of people, especially pennant wise, we haven't seen for 12 months.
"I think it's nice for people to get out and meet other people. They enjoy their game of bowls. For some, it's probably not the bowls they come out for but it's the social side of things."
