
Residents of Northern Grampians Shire have until Friday 15 October to have their say in the new rules that pet owners in the region will have to follow.
Submissions for draft Domestic Animal Management Plans close Friday 15 October 2021.

"Domestic animals play an integral role in the day to day lives of many in the Northern Grampians Shire community," Council said in an statement.
"Council recognises the significance of ensuring that pets, their owners, and non-pet owners can coexist in the community."

The purpose of the Domestic Animal Management Plan is to provide the Northern Grampians Shire Council with a strategic framework for the next four years in how pets the shire can be regulated.
Community consultation for the plan is not being held face to face, with Northern Grampians Shire Council only accepting submissions in writing or by email.
