At 11.30am Stawell police saw a silver Holden Commodore station wagon travelling along Holloway Rd, Stawell.
Police then identified the driver as a 21-year-old male and a known suspended driver.
The divisional van then took a U-turn and activated emergency lights to intercept the vehicle.
The suspect then took off at a fast rate of speed and began driving in a dangerous manner to evade police.
After a short and diligent investigation, the suspect voluntarily handed himself into the Stawell Police Station.
The suspect was interviewed, served with seven charges relating to driving offences and bailed to Stawell Magistrate's Court on December 7.
On this occasion the suspect has been both held accountable for his actions of `failing to stop` and has also had his vehicle impounded.
