SEVERAL businesses across the Grampians region have announced their temporarily closure after notification came through a positive case had visited the region.
Although formal contact tracing hasn't commenced, the person who tested positive has informed businesses they have tested positive.
Out of caution, many businesses have closed.
Halls Gap Flame Brothers restaurant put out a statement through their social media channels.
"Flame brothers has been notified of a positive Covid-19 case that has dined with us on Saturday evening. Although this hasn't been announced by DHHS yet we would expect it to be in the coming days," they said.
"Due to this we will be closed Wednesday 13/10 and Thursday 14/10 as a minimum while we wait for our staff to all get tested and return results.
"I apologise for any inconvenience this causes anybody and hope that nothing further comes from the results. If you have a booking we will be in contact with you to either cancel or reschedule as necessary."
Grampians Helicopters is also impacted by the latest news.
"Grampians Helicopters has been notified of a positive Covid-19 case that has flew with us at 5pm on Saturday evening. Although this hasn't been announced by DHHS yet we would expect it to be in the coming days," their statement read.
"Our Aircraft is cleaned and sterilised after every group, and we are all double vaxxed, however as a precautionary measure we are closing to have all staff tested, and every one who has flown with us notified.
"I apologise for any inconvenience this causes anybody and hope that nothing further comes from this. Please feel free to contact us if necessary."
The Post Office at Halls Gap has also announced it would be closed.
"We've just been notified of a guest that was in town over the weekend that has just received a positive Covid test result," they said.
"We have not been contacted by DHHS directly yet as this guest has not yet been interviewed for contact tracing, but out of an abundance of caution our shop and therefore the post office will not be open tomorrow.
"This guest was travelling lawfully from a part of regional Vic with no known exposures, checked in everywhere and wore a mask properly.
"Just a reminder to all to practice good hygiene, wear your mask properly, check in everywhere and if you're not vaccinated or at least booked in, do it now or go talk to your doctor. It's the only way to protect our community.
"Stay safe and we'll let you know when we're up and running again and/or if there are any processes put in place for mail collection."
Livefast Cafe has also closed - siting they would "err on the side of caution".
"Pending more information and test results, we will be closed for the remainder of today and tomorrow (13-14 Oct)," they said.
"If you have visited us over the weekend and developed any symptoms, our advice is to isolate and get tested."
Paper, Scissors, Rock Brewery will also be closed on October 13-14.
"We have been indirectly notified of a positive Covid-19 case that may have dined with us on the evening of Friday 8th Oct," they said.
"Although this hasn't been officially announced by DHHS, as a precaution we've decided to act early and close Wednesday 13th and Thursday 14th while we wait for further official information and to allow our staff to get tested and return results.
"We apologise for any inconvenience this causes. If you have an existing booking we will be in contact with you to either reschedule our cancel as necessary."
