Another 867 cases were added to the tally from 49,450 COVID-19 tests.
In addition, 35,160 people received vaccination doses from state run vaccination hubs as the state inches closer to eighty per cent.
The Department of Health has also added an extra 149 cases to tallies that should have appeared on Sunday and Monday, not including the 867 cases from Monday.
"Late yesterday, the department became aware that a number of COVID-19 test results were incorrectly recorded by a third-party software vendor supporting a private provider," it said in a tweet.
"These results included 9 cases reportable on 26 September and 140 cases reportable on 27 September."
