GRAMPIANS Community Health is launching another podcast to highlight its proud community roots.
The weekly "Community Is Our Middle Name" podcasts talk about health, wellbeing and seeking help focusing on community.
The podcasts will feature different guests from Grampians Community Health, community groups and health groups.
The podcasts will cover a range of topics, including challenging topics like mental health, drug overdoses and COVID myths, with each episode around 30 minutes long.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Grampians Community Health's general manager of Business Support and Innovation, Kate Astbury, said looking after the community was in the organisation's DNA.
"It says our community is our focus," Ms Astbury said.
"It's what we do every day and it shows how we resonate with the community."
The podcasts were created after a review of the health service's communications.
"We understand that people pick up information from different platforms and we're trying to maximise the ways we get our message out to as many members of our community as we can," Ms Astbury said.
The podcasts will highlight information and projects happening within GCH and across the Grampians region.
"We want to make it interesting and diverse," Ms Astbury added.
"It's not just about GCH; there will be opportunities for other community groups and health services to share their information."
The podcasts are being produced by Grampians Community Health social media content creator Gareth Olver who said they were a new way of sharing messages relevant to the community.
"There are a lot of services at Grampians Community Health that people might not know about and a lot of issues that people might not necessarily want to talk about but there is help available in our part of the world," Mr Olver said.
