The Northern Grampians Shire Council have confirmed their allocation of funding from the federal government's Roads to Recovery program after they were left off the quarterly payment announcement.

The office of Federal Member for Wannon, Dan Tehan, released the figures earlier in September with the Council not allocated any funds under the program for the quarterly payment.
Northern Grampians Shire Council mayor Murray Emerson confirmed the council will receive funding from the program in the 2021-22 financial year.
"The Federal Government Roads to Recovery program has been running since 2019," he said.
"Over the life of the program our shire has received $9,289,918.

"This year we have been allocated $1.857,984 to put towards maintaining our local road infrastructure."

As part of the announcement it was confirmed the Ararat Rural City Council would receive $1,461,358 in the quarter, with the Warrnambool City Council set to get $225,024 and $125,519 allocated for the Southern Grampians Shire Council.
The Shire of Moyne will receive $500,000 and the Glenelg Shire Council will benefit from $58,746, while the Northern Grampians Shire Council was not listed.

But with the funds confirmed by the Northern Grampians Shire Council, it is expected they will be delivered in a different quarter of the financial year.
Federal Member for Wannon, Dan Tehan said the federal government would deliver over $65.09 million to 215 local government authorities nationwide for safer and better-maintained roads.
"The Roads to Recovery funding in Wannon will allow councils across the area to progress a number of high-priority projects, using local knowledge to deliver the best local roads," Mr Tehan said.
"This forms part of our Government's unwavering commitment to get Australians home sooner and safer, no matter where they live."
