Emergency services rescued a driver trapped in their car near Armstrong following an accident on the Western Highway on Thursday, June 17.

The Wimmera Mail-Times understands man believed to be in his 20s was taken to Ballarat Base Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
A spokesperson for Ambulance Victoria said the man had been assessed for head injuries.
A CFA spokesman said the authority were alerted to the accident at 12:50am.
CFA and SES members worked to free a person trapped in a vehicle that had collided with a tree, the spokesman said.
Crews from both Great Western and Ararat brigades attended the scene, along with Ambulance Victoria and police.
