As of 11:59pm tonight (Thursday night), all community sport can go ahead with 150 people in attendance.
However, yesterday, WFNL league officials were still unsure whether the number included match officials and players - but were under the impression that it wouldn't, much like it was with junior competitions last week.
"We're going to try and make it work," Muldoon said.
"It does make it awfully tough, so we're going to have to think outside the square a bit, but there's a real determination to play.
"The WFNL board have pushed to play, and we're going to try.
OTHER NEWS:
"There's lots of reasons why you shouldn't, but the underlying reason is we need to. We need to get footy and netball back."
Before the Stawell Times-News published on Thursday afternoon, Stawell Warriors president Tim Williams believed spectators would be allowed.
"We were looking forward to having a crowd, although small, with our upgraded COVID-19 plans in place," he said.
"It's disappointing news. It's been a lot of work this past week - but we'll get through it and try manage as best as we can."
Williams said across the board the Warriors were fairing well in teams' respective grades and was looking forward to getting the season back on track for all the players.
"It's fantastic we can get the juniors back out playing sport," he said.
"They need the social interaction and physical activity.
OTHER NEWS:
"It's good for everyone's mental health - that goes for our senior players and supporters as well."
On Saturday, entry into Central Park will be via two gates.
Entry for the netball will be via Napier Street and the football can be access via Victoria Street.
Williams advised access to the ground from Main Street would be closed.
"We're looking forward to a great day and hopefully the weather isn't too cold," he said.
"We want all of our supporters to come down and cheer us on - we believe over the course of the day people will come and go so the 150 cap can managed."
Melbourne's strict lockdown has been lifted however the 25km travel bubble is still in place, which is an issue for WFNL teams that have players that commute from the area.
"We've approached this for the last couple of weeks knowing that players wouldn't be able to travel from greater metropolitan Melbourne out into the country," Muldoon said.
"So teams have been well aware of it so it's no great shock.
"The teams that have been impacted have obviously been prepared for it so they're ok."
With Nhill falling into the South Australian 70km SA border bubble that is still in place, Muldoon admitted there was concerns surrounding their ability to travel to away games in the coming weeks.
