Mr Hedges has a unique story and some unique certificates to sit right alongside it.
He grew up in Stawell and said he considers it his hometown, despite living out of Victoria for some time.
When he moved to Queensland he became a prison security guard which led him on this path to the world records.
"I grew up in Stawell. I went to kindergarten, I went to 502, and I finished up at Stawell Secondary," he said.
"I was there until I was about 20 and my whole childhood has been there.

"I followed a girl up here and I ended moving up here and starting a family.
"Stawell is my home town and it is always where I have come back to.
"I became a prison officer in Brisbane and I gained about 30 kilograms. I really blew out on my weight.
"I was really unhappy about that and it effected me physically, mentally and emotionally and it messed with me a lot.
"And I went and saw some one who did hypnosis to help me lose a whole heap of weight.
"I lost about 25 kilograms and I thought if I could do the same thing to someone else that would be really cool."
After seeing the success of his hypnotism weight loss Mr Hedges invested his time into training and improving his own hypnotism skills.
"From there I went and studied and learnt how to use hypnosis and I learnt you can also have fun with it and mess with people and do stage shows and entertainment, as well as do therapy," he said.
"I do therapy, I do stage shows and I also teach people how to use it so they use it for their own business or for fun."
OTHER NEWS:
An idea popped into Mr Hedges head and in February he became the holder of two world records, with plans for a third not far away.
"With the world records I wanted to do something that someone couldn't do or didn't have any data on.
"I approached three different world record organisations and showed them my idea and they said lets do it.
"The first world record was the 'world's fastest handshake induction in hypnosis' and that was 0.72 seconds.
"The other one was 'putting people into a full body catalepsy and laying them between two chairs' and so I did four people in sixty seconds.
"By the end of this year I want to do the most people individually hypnotised in sixty seconds and I reckon I can get at least 40-50.
"There is no official record on that one, but I know a guy has done 40 before.
"I have seen the footage of that done and so my aim is to get at least 45 people down in the minute.
"I am always trying to think of something bigger and better and what could be the best thing to create something bigger."
