Stawell SES markets usually run indoors but with some COVID-19 restrictions still in place, it decided to suspend the market,
Stawell SES deputy controller Brody Stewart made the announcement on Tuesday and said they were disappointed to have to make the decision, but will now be looking at alternative ways to fundraise for the unit.
"Unfortunately we come to the decision it would be a bit easier for us to put that on hold for now and look at some other ways of fundraising for the unit," he said.

"It is basically our fundraising for the year and because of that, we don't have to do anything else.
"For us, we will just have to look at a way to raise some funds to buy the things that we need and improve what we have.
OTHER NEWS:
"I think it will leave a bit of a gap, but we will be looking towards grants and other types of funding means.

The Stawell SES said a big thank you to all their stallholders and supporters and they hope to be back again soon.
If the circumstances improve Mr Stewart said he was hoping the markets would return in 2022.
