FARM equipment supplier O'Connors has strengthened its business within the industry after the announcement of a purchase of two Agrimac locations.
Agrimac St Arnaud and Ballarat have been purchased by the company, expanding O'Connors from 10 locations to 12 - now the largest Case IH dealership in Australia.
O'Connors chief executive Gareth Webb said the business looked for opportunities for further growth following their successful expansion into NSW Central West region in 2018-19 and the Agrimac locations in Ballarat and St Arnaud present a perfect fit.
"O'Connors is a family business built upon great customer relationships, commitment to service, knowledge of the industry and fifty-seven years of experience," he said.
"The acquisition of the Agrimac Case IH dealerships is a great opportunity to extend our footprint into a diverse agricultural region, combining our experience with the knowledge that is already in the Ballarat and St Arnaud business.
"O'Connors is looking forward to the challenge of entering a new market and we are excited to be able to bring the region the strength and customer benefits a larger dealership network provides".
Agrimac dealer principal Hugh McEachern will continue to own and operate Agrimac's Warrnambool and Hamilton dealership branches.
The 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 Case IH Dealer of the Year, O'Connors currently has branches across three states, in Birchip, Warracknabeal, Horsham, Shepparton, Bordertown, Corowa, West Wyalong, Condobolin, Forbes and Grenfell. The finalisation of the Agrimac deal is anticipated to be by June 1, 2021.
"For fifty-seven years O'Connors has built a reputation for delivering exceptional support to customers, with unrivalled expertise and with parts and service departments backed by our extensive branch network," Webb said.
"We're looking forward to bringing these benefits to our new customers and ensuring uninterrupted support during the transition."
