On Good Friday the Warriors knocked off Ararat 54-44.
The result was a major turn around from their 2019 ladder positions where the Rats finished third and the Warriors finished seventh, with just five wins.
And after such a strong result to start the season, A Grade coach Courtney McIlvride is hoping to see more of the same throughout the year.
"We are all really looking forward to getting back on the court, hopefully having a really competitive year," she said.
MORE WFNL:
"I think all of us really missed the social side of the game and I think the netball part of it is really coming together because we are really enjoying being out on the court.
"I am just looking forward to having the opportunity on the weekend's to get out and about again."
McIlvride said the club had a few changes to their A Grade line-up, with tall shooter Shania Bergan, from Dimboola adding a different avenue to score and young gun Maddie Taylor stepping up.
The club has lost Tarnee Orr who has moved to the Swifts for 2021, but McIlvride is hoping their additions will help the Warriors play a different way.

"We have been working on how we can use a tall goal ring, which isn't something we have had in a long time," she said.
"Apart from that it has just been about getting to know each other because we have had a few players moving up and down from A and B."
"So we have just been trying to mould together as group and get ready for the season.
"I would hope that we would be a competitive and respectful team on the court and we are generally a speedy group of players, but now we need to transition from being speedy to having a bit more height and a bit more body on the court."
