Some of the Wimmera's youngest and fastest sprinters have given it their best shot in the Little Athletics Victoria Boys' and Girls' 100 metre Handicap and in the Stawell Times-News under-18 Boys Handicap 100 metres.

Stawell runner Xander Gragasin won the first heat of the Stawell Times-News under-18 Boys Handicap 100 metres, qualifying him for the Easter Sunday final.
Gragasin came off a 9 metre mark as he sprinter his way to an 11.31 time across the 100 metres.
The other winners of the five heats plus the next fastest two runners will take on Gragasin in the final.

The was also number of runners from Stawell and Horsham who competed in the heats of the Little Athletics Victoria Boys' and Girls' 100 metre Handicap with a few falling just short of moving through to finals.
In the girls' handicap there was eight heats with the winner of each heat progressing through to the final on Easter Monday.
Darcy Venn from Stawell had a handicap of 15 metres and finished with a time of 13.16 and fifth in her heat against girls as old as 15.
In heat one, Noah Lyons from Stawell was pipped at the post and finished third with a time of 11.99 off his mark of 6.75 metres.
Thomas Naylor from Horsham also finished third in his heat with a time of 12.42 with Stawell's Kynan Stasinowsky just behind.
Stawell Bradley Carter also finished third with a time of 12.07 as he came of his 5.5 metre mark.
Unfortunately, no Wimmera runners progressed to the finals, but after strong performances they will be hoping the reach the next level in 2022.
