The school will celebrate its 150th anniversary in 2022 and the Concongella Primary School Council are seeking expressions of interest to create a celebration committee.
Concongella Primary School principal Kristie Miller has been the principal of the school for a decade and she is hoping community members will come forward to help organise the celebrations.
"A little school like Concongella is quite unique because it is not in the township any longer, and for it to have stayed so strong for 150 years I think it is a really amazing achievement and one that is really worth celebrating," she said.
"I really love the school and really value small school education and this school has a spirit and a big heart.

"I have always felt there is more for me to do here and that it is interesting and engaging and that has kept my head and heart engaging."
Ms Miller said there would be different roles for planning and organising of the celebrations, which would be open to anyone who was interested.
"What we would like to get is some really nice community involvement of multiple generations who have had something to do with the school, so we can actually plan something that is a real celebration of the history of this place," she said.
"There will be lots of different roles and that is why we are starting with a meeting to help outline what we would like.
OTHER NEWS:
"There is lots of ways someone could get involved, there will be smaller roles that don't take as much time and there will be some larger ones as well."
Ms Miller said some tasks would include grant applications, event organising, meeting attendance, sharing thoughts and ideas and getting community support and attendance.
The school has organised a community meeting on Tuesday April 27 at 7pm at the Concongella Primary School.
If someone is interested in being involved, but cannot attend this meeting forward your interest to Ms Miller on 03 5358 1811 or email kristie.miller@education.vic.gov.au.
