On Wednesday, acting premier James Merlino announced the easing of a number of restrictions from 6pm on Friday.
Among them are that masks will no longer be required to be worn in retail settings. Victorian's will still be required to carry a mask and wear them on public transport, in taxis and ride share vehicles and where social distancing can't be maintained.
"We know the risk is far from over but thanks to the incredible work of all Victorians, we're continuing to open up and see the Victoria we all love return to life again," Mr Merlino said.
Changes in the number of people able to gather will also change with private gatherings increasing from 30 people to 100, public gatherings able to host 200 people and caps on the number of office workers being removed.
